High Carbon Steel Straight Line Wire Drawing Machine
The high carbon steel straight line wire drawing machine is designed to draw high-carbon steel wire, stainless steel wire, technology wire, etc., to precise diameters for further use, particularly in making products like nails, screws, and other fasteners that require high-strength and durability.
Compared to the LZ4/560 straight line wire drawing machine, the LZ4/600 straight line high carbon steel wire drawing machine has multiple reducers. And when there are less than six drums, all are fitted with reducers. Only the first six are equipped with reducers when there are more than six. And supporting auxiliary equipment, such as the descaling machine, wire pay-off stand, take-up machine, motors, frequency converters, drawing drums, rotating mold boxes, etc., have increased in size and power.

The drawing die box is designed as a rotating die box with a welded structure and is divided into two chambers: a cooling water chamber and a lubricating powder chamber.
The cooling water chamber uses water cooling to reduce the heat generated by the friction between the wire and the drawing die during the drawing process to extend the service life of the drawing die and reduce the defects of the wire during the drawing process by rotating the drawing die. The lubricating powder chamber uses a stirring device to help the drawing powder dissipate heat and distribute the drawing powder evenly on the surface of the wire, thereby improving the stability of the drawing process.
Domestic wire drawing machines generally use rotating die boxes for the first and last drawing die boxes, while foreign countries tend to use rotating die boxes for all.
The capstan adjusts the speed and tension to ensure the stability of the wire tension during the drawing process, avoiding wire breakage and uneven wire drawing quality.
The capstan size of the high-carbon steel vertical straight-feed wire drawing machine is enlarged, with a diameter of 600mm and a height of 370mm. The drum is made of ZG45 cast steel, and the surface is treated with tungsten carbide spray welding and wear resistance with a height of 150mm, a surface roughness of ≥Ra0.8, and a hardness of HRC≤50. The service life of the drum is guaranteed to be no less than 22,000 hours/three years. The inside of the capstan is sprayed with corrosion resistance and does not scale. The inside is cooled by narrow-gap water, and the outside is cooled by strong wind.
The hydraulic descaling machine uses the hydraulic system to efficiently remove the oxide scale, rust, and other impurities on the surface of the wire rod, making the surface smooth and clean, improving the tensile strength of the wire rod, and reducing the wire breakage during the drawing process.
The descaling machine uses a dedicated hydraulic station, oil pipe, two 1.5kw motors, and three descaling wheels (7 alloy rollers run through the descaling wheel groove)
The high-carbon steel elephant trunk take-up machine can reel high-carbon steel wires of various specifications and diameters at high speed, ensuring that the wires are evenly wound on the take-up drum to avoid wire entanglement or interlacing. The take-up machine can accurately adjust the take-up speed and tension to ensure the stability and consistency of the take-up process.
The take-up drum size is 600mm in diameter and 220mm in height. The drum surface is treated with tungsten carbide, with a height of 70mm and a thickness of 0.3mm. The wire take-up machine can accumulate wire weights of up to 500-600kg.
